This is a handwoven kilim made in Afghanistan.
It combines flat-woven kilim fabric (without pile) and carpet-woven pile fabric (with pile) into a single piece.
Using these two weaving techniques simultaneously requires advanced craftsmanship and extensive experience to combine different methods.
Made of 100% wool, it features a soft and supple texture.
