This is a hand-woven carpet made in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
The base color is red. It has a beautiful geometric design that is unique to Pakistani carpets. The diamond pattern in the center is called a Jaldar pattern and is said to be modeled after a dragon's mouth.
Weaving methods vary depending on the region and material, but the main feature of hand-woven carpets is the technique of tying the weft threads to the warp threads.
This carpet has 12 warp threads and 24 weft threads per square inch, and is one of the highest quality carpets among the three major grades of Pakistani carpets.
Because of the tight weave, the pile is short and dense to the touch, and beautiful, intricate patterns are woven into it.

It features a high knot density, making it highly durable and resistant to wear—even when placed under furniture. Made from wool, it also offers excellent heat retention, ensuring comfort when used over heated flooring or electric carpets. Regular vacuuming is all you need to keep your rug in good condition. Be sure to vacuum gently in the direction of the pile, avoiding the fringes. If you spill any liquid, blot it immediately with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Once a year, lightly wipe the rug with a well-wrung towel, following the direction of the pile.
