A hand-woven Persian Gabbeh rug made in the Shiraz region of Persia.
Because it is of fine quality, it is made using the finest wool, which is of higher quality than regular gabbeh, and is a type of gabbeh with a tightly woven construction.
The base color is a gentle shade made from undyed, natural wool.
It features an artistic design with a large, colorful and beautiful tree in the middle, with lots of butterflies gathered around it.
High-quality wool is cushioned, warm in winter and cool in summer, making it suitable for use all year round.
[Characteristics of Persian Gabbeh Rugs]
Persian Gabbeh rugs are traditional carpets handwoven by nomadic tribes in southwestern Iran. Known for their thick, fluffy texture—resembling the feel of stroking a sheep—they are made from high-quality wool. These rugs are soft, cushioned, and offer excellent comfort year-round: warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
[Meaning Behind the Patterns]
Squares – Represent “windows,” symbolizing a wish for happiness to enter the home.
Deer and Goats (Sheep) – These animals are vital to the nomadic way of life and are considered symbols of wealth, expressing the hope for a life free of hardship.
Tree of Life – With its branches reaching toward the sky, it embodies prayers for longevity, health, and the well-being of one’s family.
Camel – As a carrier of household goods in nomadic life, the camel symbolizes “success” and the hope for prosperity in new lands.
Pomegranate – A beloved fruit in Persian culture, the pomegranate, with its many seeds, represents fertility, abundance, and the flourishing of future generations.
[Care instructions]
Regular vacuuming is all you need to keep your rug in good condition. Be sure to vacuum gently in the direction of the pile, avoiding the fringes. If you spill any liquid, blot it immediately with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Once a year, lightly wipe the rug with a well-wrung towel, following the direction of the pile.
