This is a hand-woven Mashwani Kilim made in Afghanistan.
Beautiful, intricate geometric patterns are woven into every detail.
The base color is a mix of soft pink and beige.
This carpet combines flat-woven kilim fabric (without pile) with carpet-woven pile fabric (with pile), giving it a unique texture with unevenness and three-dimensional feel (the third to fifth photos make it easy to see).
Weaving methods vary depending on the region and material, but the basic method for hand-woven carpets is to tie the weft threads to the warp threads.
This piece combines carpet weaving and kilim weaving, and is more difficult to weave than a regular kilim, requiring advanced craftsmanship.
