This carpet is a hand-woven Persian Gabbeh, woven in Shiraz , Persia. Gabbehs are hand-woven carpets woven by the Qashqai people, and are as soft to the touch as stroking a sheep.
The base color is a rich green reminiscent of the grasslands, with an orange lion woven into the center.
Flowers are scattered around the lion, giving the impression of flowers blooming in a lush green grassland.

A Lion Gabbeh is a type of rug woven by the nomadic Qashqai people of southwestern Iran, characterized by its distinctive lion-themed design. The lion has long been used as a symbol of strength and wisdom.
