Hand-woven Persian Gabbeh from Shiraz .
This type of gabbeh is made from the highest quality wool, which is better than that of regular gabbehs, and has a tightly woven, fine weave.
The base color is a vibrant golden yellow mixed with brown.
A humorous blue lion design with big eyes and sharp teeth that makes it look like a fish.
If you look closely you can see that small floral patterns are woven into the lion.
The contrast between yellow and blue makes this a beautiful piece.
[What is a Lion Gabbeh?]
A Lion Gabbeh is a type of rug woven by the nomadic Qashqai people of southwestern Iran, characterized by its distinctive lion-themed design. The lion has long been used as a symbol of strength and wisdom.
