This rug is a handwoven Persian rug crafted in Nain, located near Isfahan in Persia.
It is a masterpiece woven at the highly esteemed Habibian Workshop, known for producing rugs with a higher density than typical Nain rugs, resulting in intricate detailing.
A distinctive feature is the medallion inspired by the ceiling decorations of Islamic mosques. The short pile is densely woven, achieving an exceptionally refined finish.
The design predominantly features an off-white color, with the characteristic central medallion of Nain rugs and delicate floral patterns elegantly spreading across the surface. Silk is used along the edges of the patterns, shimmering in the light and creating a three-dimensional impression.
Due to the unique characteristics of handwoven rugs, known as "pile direction" and "reverse pile," the color intensity changes depending on the direction in which the rug is laid.
