This is a runner-sized hand-knotted Persian carpet woven in Nain , near Isfahan, Iran.
It can be used in a variety of spaces, such as the entrance, bedside, or kitchen.
Nain carpets are characterised by their high quality finish, with dense knots and high quality wool and silk.
A common design is a medallion in the center combining arabesques and floral patterns.
To highlight the pattern, a white silk border is used, whose sheen gives the carpet a three-dimensional look.
The base color is a yellow that is close to golden yellow.
