This rug is a handwoven Mashwani Kilim made in Afghanistan, featuring warm tones of orange and beige that are truly striking.
It is characterized by a geometric diamond pattern, intricately woven with fine and beautiful geometric designs that convey a sense of strength.
The unique texture combines flat-woven kilim fabric (without pile) and carpet-woven pile fabric (with pile), creating a distinctive relief and three-dimensional feel. The combination of carpet weaving and kilim weaving makes it more challenging to produce compared to standard kilims, requiring advanced craftsmanship. The texture is soft, with a vintage-like, relaxed quality.
Measuring approximately 84cm x 120cm, it is perfectly sized for smaller living rooms or entryways. Photos 2-7 were taken indoors during moments when natural light beautifully illuminated the space. Please refer to them for color reference.
