This is a handwoven Persian Gabbeh crafted in Shiraz, Persia.
It is made from the finest quality wool, superior to regular Gabbeh, with a dense and intricate weave, classified as Fine quality.
The base color is woven from natural wool (raw fleece) without any dyeing, allowing you to enjoy the gentle and soft texture inherent to the wool.
The design features a humorous yellow lion, which, with its large eyes and sharp teeth, resembles a fish more than a lion.
While the weaving techniques vary depending on the materials and regions, the primary method for handwoven carpets involves tying the weft yarn to the taut warp yarn.

A Lion Gabbeh is a type of rug woven by the nomadic Qashqai people of southwestern Iran, characterized by its distinctive lion-themed design. The lion has long been used as a symbol of strength and wisdom.
