This is a hand-woven carpet made in the southwestern Persian city of Isfahan.
The wool used is cork wool, which is the fine, soft hair from around a lamb's neck, and silk is woven into the shiny white parts to give the pattern a three-dimensional look.
It features extremely fine detail and high knot density.
There is a medallion in the center of the carpet and arabesque patterns are smoothly painted outward, making it a luxurious and beautiful piece.
The pink beige and ivory colors give a soft and elegant impression.
Hand-woven carpets have a grain and a counter-grain, and the way the carpet flows affects the way the color appears. Please refer to the second and third photos, which show the color changes clearly.

Isfahan rugs are distinguished by their use of "kork wool," a fine and soft wool taken from the neck of young lambs. This high-quality material offers both durability and resistance to dirt. The designs are refined and elegant, with an exceptionally high knot density that enhances the intricate beauty of the patterns. Traditional motifs such as medallions—often inspired by mosque domes—and intricate arabesque (Eslimi) designs are commonly featured, reflecting the deep artistic heritage of Persian craftsmanship.
