This is a handwoven rug made in Afghanistan.
Featuring a calm red base color, this piece intricately weaves birds, animals, flowers, and the tree of life.
Crafted using the beautiful long-haired Ghazni wool from the Ghazni region of Afghanistan, this rug is entirely handmade from the spinning of the yarn.
Additionally, the dyeing process primarily utilizes natural plant dyes, resulting in a charming finish characterized by the color variations known as Abrash, which occur when natural dyes like madder and indigo are added to undyed wool.
(*Abrash refers to the gradation that naturally occurs when natural dyes are applied to undyed wool.)
The pile is cut short to ensure a pleasant feel throughout the year, providing a refreshing texture.
