This handwoven Persian Gabbeh is crafted in the Shiraz region of Persia.
Gabbeh refers to the rugs woven by the Qashqai tribe, characterized by their fluffy texture that feels as if you are stroking a sheep.
The base color features a natural, gentle hue created from undyed wool. Within a colorful floral border resembling a crown of flowers, numerous boxes adorned with blossoms are arranged, and peeking inside these boxes reveals charming deer and trees woven into the design. It resembles a toy box filled with dreams.
The green border is designed with a delicate touch reminiscent of pointillism, showcasing the natural wool beautifully. Its subdued colors make it easy to match with any room.
The patterns scattered throughout are inspired by nature, with the Tree of Life symbolizing the wish for "family health and longevity," and the pattern of deer facing each other expressing the hope for "family harmony."
