This handwoven Persian rug is crafted in Kashan, located between Isfahan and Tehran in Persia.
The base color is a distinctive red typical of Kashan rugs, and the use of navy in the patterns adds a refined touch.
At the center, there is a medallion, with a design that divides the medallion into four parts at each corner.
Handwoven rugs have a directionality in the pile, known as '顺目' and '逆目', which affects how the colors appear depending on the laying direction. Please refer to photos 2 and 3 for a clear understanding of the color variations.
