This is an Afghan rug handwoven by the Turkmen people of Afghanistan.
The Turkmen reside in the northeastern part of Persia and the northwestern region of Afghanistan.
The central part of the rug features a traditional "Khojalu Shnai" design characterized by dense gül patterns.
The contrast of colors and shapes stands out, and the intricately woven fine designs are beautiful.
The pile (the rug's fibers) is short, making it easy to maintain.
