This is a handwoven rug made in Afghanistan. It is crafted using Ghazni wool sourced from sheep that inhabit the Ghazni region, with all processes from spinning the yarn to weaving done by hand.
The rug features a striking design with borders of various widths, making it visually appealing.
It is primarily dyed using vegetable dyes, resulting in the unique color variations (Abrash) characteristic of naturally dyed wool. Abrash refers to the natural gradient that occurs when adding natural dyes such as madder and indigo to undyed wool.
