A Persian carpet from Qum .
A medallion is placed in the center, from which cloud-shaped curves radiate, and the entire field is intricately woven with the "Leeds Mahi" (small fish) pattern.
The center of the small flower is surrounded by a diamond-shaped frame, and the leaves at the four corners resemble fish, hence the name "Mahi", which means fish in Persian.
The border is woven with a repeating arabesque flower and leaf design.
It combines the delicate weave unique to Qum, a region known for its silk, with the firm texture and smooth feel of high-quality wool.
