This is a hand-woven silk Persian carpet made in Qom , located about 100 km south of the Persian capital, Tehran. It was woven by the Kazmi Atelier.
This carpet is eye-catching in its vibrant emerald green color, with a medallion in the center, surrounding it in a spiral shape, and detailed arabesque patterns woven outwards, giving it a gorgeous look.
Silk Persian carpets are characterized by their soft, smooth feel and beautiful, refined luster that brings out the patterns and colors.
Hand-woven carpets have a "grain" and a "countergrain" direction, and the color appears different depending on the direction in which it is laid. Please take a look at the third and fourth photos to see the difference.
