This is a hand-woven carpet made in Lahore , Punjab, Pakistan.
This Pakistani carpet has a beautiful design that features unique geometric patterns and a row of oval patterns in the center called Bohara patterns, which are said to be modeled after the footprints of elephants.
The carpet is smooth and soft to the touch, with a beautiful glossy finish.
The history of Pakistani carpets began when carpet weaving was introduced from Persia during the Mughal Empire. While inheriting the Persian carpet culture, Pakistani carpets developed their own unique style.
