This rug is a handwoven Persian rug made of silk, crafted in the region of Qom, located approximately 100 kilometers south of the Persian capital Tehran.
At the center, a medallion is featured, surrounded by intricate vine patterns woven in contrasting red and green.
Additionally, the white areas are adorned with lace-like designs, resulting in an overall elegant finish.
Handwoven rugs exhibit a flow of the fibers, referred to as "nap" and "reverse nap." This fiber flow causes the colors of the rug to appear differently depending on the direction in which it is laid.
The color variations are clearly visible in the second and third photos.
