This is a hand-woven carpet made in Afghanistan. It is made from Ghazni wool, which is native to the Ghazni region, and is spun by hand.
The base color is light green with a hint of yellow.
A modern piece with a beautiful arabesque pattern woven into the frame.
Handwoven carpets have a grain and a counter-grain direction, and the color tone changes depending on the direction in which the carpet is laid. Compare photos 4 and 5 to see the difference in color tone.
