This carpet was handwoven in Lahore , Punjab, Pakistan and features a rich green background with geometric patterns in various colours of white, gold, red and black.
There is a large medallion in the center, and a small geometric pattern is drawn around it. The medallion design is divided and arranged in four corners. These patterns are inspired by the blooming of flowers, and silk is used for the white parts to create a three-dimensional effect.
The outside of the carpet has a geometric border. This carpet is woven from smooth wool, which makes it soft to the touch. It is made using traditional hand-woven techniques, and the intricate patterns are intricately woven with great precision.
