This is a hand-woven Persian silk carpet made at the Saidi Workshop in Qum , about 100 kilometers south of Tehran, the capital of Persia.
The base color is an eye-catching turquoise blue, with a gorgeous medallion in the center and a delicate arabesque pattern around it.
The beautiful and noble luster unique to silk brings out the patterns and colors, and it feels soft and extremely smooth against the skin.
Hand-woven carpets have a "grain" and "countergrain" direction, and the way the color looks changes depending on the direction you lay it. Please compare the second and third photos.
