This is a hand-woven silk Persian carpet by Kazumi Workshop, woven in Qom , located about 100 km south of Tehran, the capital of Persia.
The base color is navy blue, and vivid colors and delicate patterns reminiscent of flowers and peacock feathers are woven into this beautiful piece.
Because it is woven from silk, it feels extremely smooth against the skin and has an elegant luster that brings out the patterns and colors.
Also, handwoven carpets have a different direction of pile flow, called "with the grain" and "against the grain," and the way the carpet is laid affects the way the color appears. Please take a look at the third and fourth photos to compare them.
