This is a hand-woven silk Persian carpet woven in Qom , located about 100 km south of Tehran, the capital of Persia.
The bright pink base color is woven symmetrically with garden motifs of trees, birds, ponds and flowers.
In arid regions, plants, birds and water are symbols of fertility and paradise, and combined with the underlying pink color, they give the feeling of the happy arrival of spring.
It is beautifully finished so that it can also be used as a tapestry in your room.
Hand-woven carpets have a specific direction in which the fibers flow, called "with the grain" and "against the grain," and the appearance of the shades of color will change depending on the direction in which they are laid.
