This is a hand-woven silk carpet woven at the Kazmi workshop in Qom , Iran.
There is a medallion in the center, and arabesque patterns are woven into the details, spreading outward. It has a soft, smooth texture and a beautiful, elegant luster that brings out the patterns and colors. Hand-woven carpets have a direction in which the pile flows, called with the grain and against the grain. The color shades look different depending on the direction in which you lay the carpet, so please compare the second and third photos.
