This hand-woven Persian carpet was made in Qom , Iran. It features a soft yellow base with detailed arabesque patterns.
Because it is silk, it is so smooth to the touch and has a beautiful luster. Hand-woven carpets can be made in either a round or reverse direction, and the way the color looks changes depending on the direction of the pile. (See images 2 and 3) This is one of the few oval silk Persian carpets. There is a medallion pattern in the center, and various flowers are woven around it.
Silk Persian carpets are characterized by their soft, smooth texture and beautiful, elegant luster that brings out the patterns and colors.
The size is perfect for a doormat, and will add a touch of elegance to any space it is placed in.
