This gabbeh was woven by the Qashqai people of the Shiraz region, and is a masterpiece of exquisite handiwork. It is known for its finer weaving than typical gabbehs, and is a thin type characterized by its intricate design.
The base is made of natural, undyed wool and is bordered with an exquisite mix of emerald green and turquoise green, making for an eye-catching beauty.
This Gabbeh rug features 16 lions woven into it that can be seen through the window frame, each with their own unique facial expression and rich individuality throughout.
