This exquisite Persian rug is handwoven in Tabriz, located in the northwest of Persia. Tabriz is the capital of East Azerbaijan Province and is one of the most significant cities in Persia.
The rug features a refined finish that harmonizes beauty and tranquility. It is made from soft cork wool sourced from lambs, and white silk is used around the intricate patterns, adding depth to the design.
The design is a traditional “Mahi” pattern, which means “fish” in Persian. This piece, with its meticulous attention to detail, is truly a work of art. The weaving is exceptionally fine, characterized by a durable short pile.
