This is a hand-woven carpet made in Afghanistan.
We use Ghazni wool that is native to the Ghazni region of Afghanistan, and spin the yarn by hand.
The wool is dyed with natural dyes , and the uneven coloring called abrasion is attractive because it is made from natural dyes. (*Abrasion refers to the gradation that inevitably occurs when natural dyes such as madder and indigo are added to the color of undyed wool.)
This carpet has a beautiful blue base and features plants and animals woven into it.
The pile is cut short so that you can use it comfortably all year round, and it feels refreshing against your skin.

Regular vacuuming is all you need to keep your rug in good condition. Be sure to vacuum gently in the direction of the pile, avoiding the fringes. If you spill any liquid, blot it immediately with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Once a year, lightly wipe the rug with a well-wrung towel, following the direction of the pile.
