This rug is a large handwoven piece from Afghanistan, measuring approximately 200 x 300cm.
It features a rich dark red color palette, characterized by intricate geometric patterns and delicate star motifs, along with floral and botanical designs woven throughout.
Crafted from high-quality wool, it offers a soft, velvet-like texture. The fine weaving results in a short pile, making it comfortable for use throughout the seasons. The primary color is dark red, beautifully accented by white, which shines like jewels in the night.
The rug is bordered, highlighting the inner field and outer frame. The outer frame features wavy lines in shades of red, navy, and white. The overall design evokes the traditional carpets of Central Asia and Persia.
Due to its handwoven nature, the appearance of colors changes depending on the direction in which it is laid. Attention to detail is evident, with both ends finished in a flat weave without pile.
