This carpet is a masterpiece of Persian artistry, hand-knotted in Tabriz , the capital of East Azerbaijan Province, a region renowned for the beauty and quality of its carpets.
The base color is a calm navy blue, and the design is very detailed and intricate. A large medallion is placed in the center, and delicate and symmetrical floral and plant motifs are beautifully drawn around it. The medallion and the surrounding decoration are in harmony and form a balanced design.
The material used is rare cork wool, especially the soft, high-quality wool from the lamb's neck. The white silk accentuates the intricate patterns, and the silk used in the warp threads, which are usually made of cotton, makes the patterns even more intricate and beautiful.
The rug is made up of dark brown and beige tones with crimson and cream details for a luxurious look. The rug is surrounded by a geometric border around the edge, highlighting the central design. The short pile makes it durable and smooth to the touch.
