This hand-knotted Persian carpet was woven in Tabriz , Persia.
It features a deep navy blue base color that is almost black. It has a beautiful, calm and elegant design, and is made of soft wool called cork wool, which is obtained from lambs, and white silk is used around the fine patterns to give the design a three-dimensional look.
The design incorporates the traditional Mahi pattern, which means fish in Persian, and the white area between the carpet and the tassel is woven with floral patterns.
It features a large medallion in the center and is dotted with intricate floral and curvaceous designs, with even more intricate patterns woven into the surrounding border.
It is a rectangle measuring approximately 80cm x 200cm, and its runner-type design makes it suitable for narrow spaces such as in front of a sofa, beside a bed, or in a hallway.
