This is a handwoven rug made in Afghanistan.
It is crafted using Ghazni wool sourced from the Ghazni region of Afghanistan, with every step from spinning the yarn to weaving done by hand.
The wool is primarily dyed using vegetable dyes, resulting in the beautiful color variations known as Abrash, which are characteristic of naturally dyed wool. (Note: Abrash refers to the gradient that occurs when natural dyes like madder and indigo are added to undyed wool colors.)
This rug features a stunning blue base with intricate designs of plants and animals woven throughout.
The pile is cut short to ensure a pleasant texture, making it comfortable to use throughout the year.
