This is a handwoven silk Persian rug made in Qum, Persia.
The base color is a deep blue, featuring a medallion at the center and intricate arabesque patterns woven finely throughout the outer frame, resulting in an elegant finish.
Surrounding the medallion is a gradient of yellow, orange, and red, creating a beautiful color palette reminiscent of autumn leaves.
Being made of silk, the texture is incredibly smooth and the sheen is simply stunning.
Handwoven rugs have a directionality in the pile, known as 'nap', which affects how the colors appear depending on the direction in which they are laid. Please compare the third and fourth photos to see the differences in color intensity.
