This is a Persian Gabbeh from Shiraz.

It features a warm gradient of yellow with four vase patterns intricately woven into the design.

A perfect piece to add color to narrow spaces such as hallways, entrances, or by the window.
The soft texture, characteristic of thick wool, and the deepening charm that develops with use are truly appealing.

Features of Persian Gabbeh

Persian Gabbeh is a traditional rug woven by nomads living in southwestern Iran, characterized by its thickness and a soft, fluffy texture reminiscent of petting a sheep. Made from high-quality wool, it is soft and cushioned, providing warmth in winter and coolness in summer, making it comfortable to use year-round.

What is Fine?

Fine is the highest quality Gabbeh created by skilled weavers of the Qashqai tribe. It is characterized by a higher density than regular Gabbeh, featuring intricate designs woven with fine, high-density techniques.

Meaning of the Patterns

Square: Represents a "window," symbolizing a wish for happiness to enter.

Deer, Goats (Sheep): Considered a source of wealth due to their support of nomadic life, symbolizing a life without hardship.

Tree of Life: Symbolizes wishes for longevity and health for the family, growing high into the sky.

Camels: Animals that carry the nomads' supplies, representing "success" that brings a prosperous life in new lands.

Pomegranate: A very popular fruit in Persia, symbolizing good fortune and wishes for prosperity due to its many seeds.

About the Product

Maintenance

To maintain good condition for a long time, please pay attention to the following points.

  • Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Vacuum gently along the pile and avoid the fringes.
  • If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb moisture. Please avoid rubbing.
  • Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain color and luster.
