A hand-woven kilim from Afghanistan.
It uses a flat weave technique so either side can be used.
At first, it may feel as stiff as linen, but it will gradually become softer with use.
The material is wool, and its thin construction makes it easy to carry around.

Regular vacuuming is all you need to keep your rug in good condition. Be sure to vacuum gently in the direction of the pile, avoiding the fringes. If you spill any liquid, blot it immediately with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Once a year, lightly wipe the rug with a well-wrung towel, following the direction of the pile.
