This is a hand-woven Persian carpet designed by Joeshagan, woven in Kashan .
The piece has a deep red base with regularly-spaced diamonds, giving it the appearance of being studded with jewels.
Kashan is known as one of the five major Persian carpet producing areas. Carpet making has been thriving for centuries, and the city is a famous carpet producing area highly acclaimed around the world for its high level of craftsmanship and beautiful designs.
Joeshagan is the name of a small village located south of Kashan on the way to Isfahan.
The design that was born in this village became the name of the style.
The diamond lattice design that fills the field is a major feature of Joeshagan.
It is said that this series of diamonds represents the Persian garden "Chahar Bagh," divided into four sections by waterways, as seen from above, on a carpet.
The flowers and plants depicted in each section are slightly different, and the ideal garden imagined by people living on dry land is spread out across this piece.

メンテナンス
良好な状態を長く保つため、以下の点にご注意ください。
- 絨毯のお手入れは、定期的な掃除機がけで十分です。毛並みに沿って優しくかけ、フサ部分は避けてください。
- 液体をこぼした場合は、乾いた布で叩くようにして水分を吸い取ってください。こすらないようにご注意ください。
- 年に一度、固く絞ったタオルで毛並みに沿って軽く拭くと、色艶が保たれます。
