This is a handwoven Persian rug from Tabriz.
The material used is soft lamb's wool known as “Kork Wool.”
It is softer and more supple than regular wool, providing a delightful texture.
White silk threads are intricately woven into the patterns, enhancing the three-dimensional beauty of the rug.
The design features the traditional “Mahi (fish)” motif.
With small flowers at the center and leaf shapes spreading to the corners resembling fish, it is named “Mahi,” which means “fish” in Persian. This is one of the representative designs of Tabriz rugs.
The white area at the edge of the rug is also carefully woven with floral patterns, showcasing the high craftsmanship of the artisans in every detail.
By partially incorporating silk, the rug offers a beautiful three-dimensional effect that brings the patterns to life depending on the light.

Tabriz rugs are characterized by their strong and densely woven structure, as most weavers are male. Therefore, they are very durable and do not easily leave marks even when heavy furniture is placed on them. Maintenance
To maintain good condition for a long time, please pay attention to the following points.
- Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Vacuum gently along the pile and avoid the fringes.
- If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb moisture. Please avoid rubbing.
- Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain color and luster.
