Mihrab Pattern

The mihrab refers to the arched entrance that indicates the direction of the Kaaba, towards which Muslims pray. This mihrab is commonly used in Persian rug designs and is considered one of the most representative designs among Persian rugs. In this design, the minarets found in Islamic mosques are incorporated as motifs, with columns on either side of the arch, beneath which trees and vases are depicted.
