With the desire to spread the tradition of hand-woven carpets that had been passed down for generations to Japan, the third generation owner, Aziz Sawhil, founded SATHI RUGS LLC and began as a wholesaler of hand-woven carpets.

SATHI RUGS carries over 7,000 carefully selected hand-woven carpets from around the world, including Persia, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Morocco, and Turkey. We visit trusted local workshops directly and carefully select and purchase high-quality carpets one by one. SATHI RUGS also has its own workshop, where we continue to weave carpets by hand using the traditional techniques used by our ancestors.

Our ultimate goal at SATHI RUGS is to continue to convey the rich history and culture of hand-woven carpets that spans thousands of years. In the globalized society of the 21st century, we believe that the best way to do this is to connect manufacturers and customers, while preserving the origins of hand-woven carpets and passing on the tradition to the next generation. Through this initiative, we hope to increase the value of traditional crafts and convey the beauty of hand-woven carpets to more people.
