The Bagai workshop was founded in 1911 by Mohammad Reza Bagai Ravali in the cities of Ravar and Qubanan, Kerman Province, Iran. At the time, Kerman carpets were known for their beautiful designs and high quality, but Mohammad Reza aimed to further develop them by introducing new techniques and designs while preserving their traditions.

After Mohammad Reza's death, his son Arijan took over the atelier and continued to operate it in accordance with his father's wishes. Arijan worked hard to preserve the traditional Kerman carpet manufacturing techniques and designs, and his efforts enabled the Bagai atelier to flourish. It continues to produce high-quality carpets to this day.

After Alijan, his children and grandchildren took over the management of the workshop and continue to preserve the traditions of the Bagai workshop. The Bagai family descendants established several workshops in cities such as Ravar and Zaland in Kerman province to preserve the techniques and quality of Kerman carpet manufacturing. Many female weavers work in these workshops, contributing to the economic and cultural development of the region.

Bagai atelier specializes in carpet manufacturing using traditional hand weaving techniques and natural materials, featuring beautiful designs such as medallions, floral motifs, and golfalan (rose patterns). Quality control experts oversee the manufacturing process to ensure high-quality products. In addition, the carpets are made with consideration for the environment by using natural dyes.

Bagai carpets are highly regarded both at home and abroad, and are exported to the United States and Europe in particular, helping to spread the tradition of Kerman carpets around the world while also contributing greatly to the development of the local economy.

Thanks to the vision of its founder, Mohammad Reza Bagai Ravali, and the efforts of his family, Bagai atelier has been preserving the traditions of Kerman carpets for over 100 years. Today, they are still loved around the world for their beautiful designs and high quality.
