Erami Workshop

Erami Workshop is a renowned Persian rug workshop established in 1915. The founder, Mahmoud Erami, hails from Kashan and moved to Qom at the age of 10, where he mastered the art of Persian rug making. By the age of 20, he had made a name for himself in the field and took on the role of training the next generation of artisans.

The rugs from Erami Workshop are characterized by their use of high-quality silk and intricate, dense weaving. The particularly famous Qom rugs boast an astonishing density of 700 knots per square inch (700 KPSI). This high density allows for the beautiful expression of intricate design details.

Additionally, Erami Workshop adheres to traditional dyeing techniques, using natural dyes to color the threads. Due to their beauty and high quality, the rugs from Erami Workshop are highly regarded in the luxury goods market worldwide. Currently based in Tehran, they continue to create rugs that blend tradition with modern techniques.

The rugs from Erami Workshop are constantly innovating while being rooted in traditional Persian designs, such as the floral patterns of Shah Abbas, with their unique color palettes and designs.

Today, Erami Workshop is run by the founder's grandson, Amir Hossein Erami. Amir Hossein has been involved in the rug industry since 1988, carrying on the family tradition.
