This is a Persian rug woven in Isfahan, Iran.
With a soft sky blue base, the Gonbad pattern inspired by mosque ceilings is beautifully woven.
The wool from Isfahan uses lamb's wool, known as cork wool, which is supple and elastic, providing a smooth texture.
The pile is short and densely woven, and silk is used in the warp and part of the pattern, making it shine beautifully in the light.
Additionally, the color changes due to the pile direction can be enjoyed, as the appearance differs between normal and reverse.
Handwoven rugs are breathable, and natural fibers provide coolness in summer and warmth and moisture retention in winter.
