This is a handwoven Persian rug by the renowned "Habibian Workshop" representing Nain, Iran.
Nain is globally known as a production area for Persian rugs, characterized by delicate and elegant designs.
This piece is of the grade called '6LA', woven with finer threads twisted from six strands, making it thinner than 9LA. The knots are finer, allowing for more intricate pattern expressions. It requires more time and skill to weave a single piece, showcasing the artisan's high craftsmanship.
Primarily made of wool, with silk interwoven in the highlights of the patterns, it creates a delicate luster and three-dimensionality depending on the light.
With an ivory-cream base, it features a calm tone with navy, light blue, beige, and burgundy accents.
The Gonbaddi pattern, which spreads like ripples from the center, is inspired by architectural ceiling decorations, evoking a sense of depth and expansion as if gazing up at a dome.
