This is a hand-knotted Persian rug from the prestigious "Habibian Workshop" representing Nain, Iran.
The rugs from Nain, a globally renowned production area, are characterized by their delicate and elegant designs. This piece is of the higher grade known as '6LA (Shishlara)', intricately woven with very fine and high-quality yarns. A tremendous amount of time and skilled craftsmanship is required to complete one piece.
The field in a deep wine red is beautifully complemented by refreshing colors of ivory and light blue. The patterns radiating from the central magnificent medallion create a sense of depth and expansiveness, reminiscent of gazing up at the ceilings of Persian palaces and mosques.
Composed primarily of high-quality wool, the contours and highlights of the patterns are luxuriously interwoven with silk, creating a delicate luster and dimensionality depending on the angle of light.
