This is a hand-knotted silk rug crafted in the Kashmir region, located near the border of northern India and northeastern Pakistan.
While Persian silk rugs are known for their vibrant colors, Kashmir rugs tend to have a slightly yellowish hue overall, exuding a warm, vintage charm.
The unique luster and smooth texture of silk enhance the design and colors beautifully.
The weaving technique varies depending on the origin and materials used, but it primarily involves tying the weft threads to the warp threads.

Maintenance
Please pay attention to the following points to keep your rug in good condition for a long time.
- Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Gently vacuum along the pile and avoid the fringes.
- If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Please be careful not to rub.
- Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain the luster.
