This is a handwoven Mashwani kilim made in Afghanistan.
Intricate and beautiful geometric patterns are densely woven into every detail.
The base color features a soft blend of pink and beige.
This unique rug combines flat-woven kilim fabric (without pile) and rug-woven pile fabric (with pile), creating a textured and three-dimensional feel (the 3rd to 5th photos illustrate this well).
There are various weaving techniques depending on the region and materials, but the basic method of handwoven rugs involves tying the weft threads to the warp threads.
This piece, which combines rug weaving and kilim weaving, is more challenging to weave compared to standard kilims and requires advanced craftsmanship.

Maintenance
Please pay attention to the following points to keep your rug in good condition for a long time.
- Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Gently vacuum along the pile and avoid the fringes.
- If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Please be careful not to rub.
- Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain the luster.
