This is a round hand-woven Persian Gabbeh carpet made in the Shiraz region of Persia.
Gabbeh is a carpet woven by the Qashqai people, characterized by its thickness and fluffy texture that feels like stroking a sheep.
The design features red, blue and yellow pomegranates. Pomegranates are very popular in Persia, and are used for a variety of purposes, including as medicine as well as for eating.
It is a small cushion size, so it can be used in a variety of situations, not just on the floor, but also on chairs, sofas, car seats, etc.
