This is a Persian rug woven in the village of Meyme, located north of Isfahan.
On a deep red background, motifs of flowers arranged in diamonds are neatly laid out. This composition has been passed down through generations in the villages of this region.
Small flowers in navy, green, and orange sink into the deep red, creating a rich expression when the light is dimmed.
This piece combines the rustic charm reminiscent of nomadic rugs with the neatness characteristic of village craftsmanship. It is a rug that gains character when placed in high-traffic areas like hallways or in front of sofas.
